CSP Hainan Co., Ltd. succeeded in the security work for airports during the 2024 Spring Festival travel rush

On March 5, 2024, the 40-day work on Spring Festival travel rush was successfully concluded. During the period, the number of flights and passenger throughput at Haikou Meilan International Airport (hereinafter referred to as “Meilan Airport’) and Sanya Phoenix International Airport (hereinafter referred to as “Sanya Airport”) hit new record highs. Specifically, Meilan Airport operated a total of 25,900 flights and made more than 4,306,700 passenger trips, a year-on-year increase of 24.96% and 39.47% respectively; Sanya Airport operated a total of 15,000 flights and made more than 3,057,900 passenger trips. Under the great support of China Security and Protection Group Co. Ltd. (CSP) and the leadership at all levels of Meilan and Sanya Airports, the staff of CSP Hainan Co., Ltd. successfully completed the security work on the Spring Festival travel rush at the two airports, ensuring a good operation order and security service quality, and ushering in a “good start” of the production and operation in the new year, as well as a “stable beginning” of the security work.
During this year’s Spring Festival travel rush, to ensure the good order of the airports and the safe travel of passengers, CSP Hainan Co., Ltd. improved and strengthened the security measures for key positions and flight peak hours based on the security work experience in previous years. To cope with the heavy passenger flow during the Spring Festival travel rush, it developed a thorough plan for the security work on the Spring Festival travel rush in advance. In order to enable all personnel to cope with various emergencies, it organized rigorous training in operational skills for all security personnel on site. At the same time, CSP Hainan Co., Ltd. comprehensively investigated the hidden risks of various regions and timely identified and corrected existing problems, adhering to the concept of “strict self-discipline, strict compliance with regulations, and ensuring safety at all times”.
To speed up the passage of passengers, the number of inspections waiting areas was increased for the explosive detection channel at the entrance of Sanya Airport, and dual detection facilities were equipped, shortening the waiting time of passengers in the queue. To ensure that no suspected explosives are brought into the terminal, all passengers, staff and baggage are required to pass the check for explosives.
In the terminal segregation areas with dense passengers, the monitoring and patrol team on site devoted greater patrol efforts to ensure that all areas are adequately inspected, and that exceptions are detected and resolved in time.
During the Spring Festival travel rush, CSP Hainan Co., Ltd. strictly implemented the work requirements of “Care for Passengers, Sincere Service”, and received a total of 26 letters of thanks and 7 silk banners from passengers. In addition, it further improved the coordination and emergency response procedures for public security cases, assisting the airport public security organs in cracking down on 18 cases of illegal operation and responding to 5 emergencies during the Spring Festival travel rush, effectively safeguarding the public security environment within the airport areas.
